ask   sub   Books. Yoga. Tea. #besomebody

There have been a lot of articles going around lately about how yogis posting their pictures on instagram can be intimidating, even competitive. When I see someone’s beautiful picture as I scroll through my feed I say to myself, “wow, I really hope I can do that one day. It’s so beautiful.” Then I proceed to take a screen shot, and ask an instructor how to do that pose, properly so I don’t hurt myself. All of these beautiful yogis around me don’t intimidate me, they don’t mock me (maybe a few in particular really just get on my nerves, but I can amend that in my own way) but rather they inspire me to grow. They inspired me to teach, so more people can grow. The challenges put together by sponsors and yogis are so that people can reach new heights through their practice. The left picture I posted maybe 7 months ago (I’ve been practicing for 10) and the left is a week ago. That is why I take pictures. To see my self, grow from the inside out. To grow. To learn. To be myself and to have no judgment on my own body, and no one else’s. Namaste.

Burning Man 2014 Moments by Trey Ratcliff

Website | Flickr | Google+ | Facebook | Prints

Embrace was a 72 ft wooden, cathedral-like sculpture of two human figures, “in celebration of all our relationships”. The site-specific artwork was created by the Pier Group for Burning Man 2014.

It was the largest project to date for the Pier Group, which gained acclaim for its previous Burning Man installations The Pier, Pier 2, and the Ichthyosaur Puppet Project. Crews began construction on Embrace in October 2013 at the Generator community art space in Reno, and in studios in Vancouver and Portland.

During this year’s festival the massive wooden sculpture was set aflame and Trey Ratcliff was on hand to capture the incredible moment. Below you can see what the interactive sculpture looked like before it was burned.

Being flexible is allowing me to see life in more than one direction. I’m on a journey…one of self-discovery and enlightenment. Kemet, I’m coming. Thankful for each bone in my body…especially my vertebrae. Lol #yoga #yogadudes #yogaeverydamnday

I didn’t know there were twenty thousand vegans on tumblr!!!

You can be against animal cruelty and not be a vegan

You can be against animal cruelty and not be a vegan

Also given the fact some vegans wilfully neglect their pet’s diet for personal belief reasons you can in fact be a vegan and be ok with animal cruelty when its convenient for you.

^^^^ Reblogging especially for that last comment.
